Ekovir 400mg is an effective antiviral drug, especially effective against herpes simplex viruses, chicken pox and lichen.
Indications and dosage:
The drug is used for herpes, prevents the appearance of new rashes, and also accelerates the formation of crusts and reduces pain in severe depriving stage.
In addition, the drug Acyclovir also has an immunostimulating effect, therefore, has a therapeutic effect in the case of herpes in people with impaired immune systems.
Inside the drug is taken during the normal functioning of the immune system. In case of infection with the herpes simplex virus, adults are prescribed 1 tablet 5 times a day, for prevention 1 tablet 4 times a day. In case of shingles, 4 tablets are prescribed 5 times a day. Children older than 2 years take acyclovir in the same dosage as adults. Children under 2 years old – take half the dose prescribed for adults. Usually, the course of treatment is 5 days, and for shingles, it is an additional 3 days after symptom relief.
