Azab 100
Pharmachologic effect Azab 100
The macrolide antibiotic is a representative of azalides Azab 100. Possesses a wide range of antimicrobial action. The mechanism of action of azithromycin is associated with the suppression of microbial cell protein synthesis. By binding to the 50S subunit of ribosomes, it inhibits peptide translocation at the translation stage, inhibits protein synthesis, and slows the growth and reproduction of bacteria. Acts bacteriostatic. In high concentrations has a bactericidal effect.
It has activity against a number of gram-positive, gram-negative, anaerobic, intracellular and other microorganisms.
